Visit Big Bend National Park, the nations largest protected area of the Chihuahuan Desert. Beautiful scenery coupled with an abundance of historic buildings and landscapes, this park is a hidden gem.

Don't forget to bring your passport so you can cross the border and check out the quaint little town of Boquillas. It's a great place to have some lunch and beer, and a great way to support the local economy.

Visit Terlingua Ranch Lodge while you're here. It has a gorgeous pool that you can enjoy for $5 per carload. It also offers bathrooms, showers, and a laundromat. Enjoy some good grub at the Bad Rabbit Cafe, and maybe catch some live music on the weekend.
